Ceramic Ornaments

The Atlantic Puffin is, perhaps, Maine's most iconic bird.  Beloved for its whimsical clown face, it was hunted almost to extinction but its now reestablishing itself with the help of researchers and volunteers.  Rarely seen from the mainland, it feeds and nest offshore on rugged ledges well out to sea. This handmade ceramic ornament is approx 4" high.

Lobsters dwell in those ledges though closer to our shores most of the year. Lobsters are dark in color, usually a dark blue-green, until they get thrown in the pot when they turn orange.  Glazes vary accordingly!  Approx 6".

The mama loon with its hitchhiking baby snuggled in is another Maine icon.  they breed along the shorelines of lakes and winter in the sea along the coast.  So, mama carrying a baby is likely a lake or pond siting.  Approx 6"

Ornaments come with a ribbon attached for hanging on your Christmas tree or in your window for enjoyment all year long.  They are nestled in tissue paper in a small gift box for gifting.

Wayne Village Pottery uses that lovely stuff known as Maine “blue” clay which is dug out of their back yard here in Maine.
